Dear Councillors,
You are hereby summoned to attend the Annual Parish Council meeting of Mareham le Fen Parish Council which will be held on WEDNESDAY 20th May 2026 commencing at 7.30pm at Mareham le Fen Community Centre with a public participation period starting at 7.15pm for up to 15 minutes immediately followed by the Parish Council meeting. Parish Council business must be conducted in public (except for items deemed to be confidential and not in the public interest) but it is not a public meeting. Items to be discussed are shown in the agenda.
If you cannot attend the meeting, please send your apologies to the Clerk with reasons.
PRESS AND PUBLIC WELCOME. There will be a public participation period at this meeting starting at 7.15pm. Parishioners may ask questions or raise issues of local interest with the parish council for up to 15 minutes. The chair of the meeting may limit the amount of time that each person may speak. The formal Council business will commence at the end of the public participation period. Members of the public may not speak during the Parish Council meeting unless the Chair of the meeting allows this.

3. Declaration of Members’ interests in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and requests for dispensations. Councillors are reminded that they must complete a Register of Interests for themselves and any partner within 28 days of election/ co-option and also have a duty to amend their register within 28 days of a change in circumstances to be submitted to the Clerk. (Disclosure by all members present of disclosable pecuniary interests in matters on the agenda that have not already been declared on their Register of Interests form. Councillors may not take part or vote on items they have a pecuniary interest in unless granted a dispensation. 8. Highway, footpath, and drainage matters affecting the parish.
a) To note the location of bins in the village and consider any location changes.
b) To consider any FixMyStreet local issues.
c) To consider need for crossing places in the village.
d) To note the provision of the flood warning sensors in Mareham le Fen provided by Lincolnshire County Council and promoting residents sign-up.
e) To consider proposal under Highways Act 1980, Section 119 Diversion of part of Public Footpath 178 Mareham Le Fen. East Lindsey District Council have recently made the above public path diversion order.
9. Financial Matters
a) To consider payments on the payments schedule
b) To note bank balances and bank reconciliation.
c) To consider the renewal for the parish council insurance policy with Zurich for £500.53 from 1st June 2026.
10. Defibrillators
To receive an update on the status of defibrillators in the village.
11. Co-options
To consider applications for co-option to become a parish councillor on Mareham le Fen Parish Council in accordance with the Co-option procedure.
12. Committees
a) To approve the Terms of Reference for the Finance and General Purposes Committee, the Cemetery Committee and Playing Field Committee.
b) To appoint councillors to each committee.

To consider application for waiver of fees.

a) Training Bookings to be approved.
b) LALC conference – 14th July 2026 9am – 4pm Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground - £45 per place.
