Minutes of Mareham le Fen Parish Council meeting 27th July 2026 at 7.00pm
held at Mareham le Fen Community Centre
Present: Cllrs D.Walby (Chair), M.Walby, H. Poulton, C.Robinson, G.Fisher, C.Poulsen, O.Marshall, N.Marshall, J.Godber.

94/26. Declaration of Members’ interests in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and requests for dispensations
None.
95/26. Former Football Club field
a) To consider a request to cut the grass of the former football field for use by children and adults during the summer holidays. If thought appropriate to consider cost of the cut and approve the grass-cutting contractor to complete the work.
After debate of the many issues it was proposed Cllr Poulsen, seconded Cllr M.Walby and amended by Cllr Robinson and Cllr O.Marshall unanimously RESOLVED to ask the Diocese of Lincoln to cut the grass in the field. If they refuse then offer a grant towards getting it cut.
b) To consider delegation to the Clerk to seek further information from the landowner and managing agent of the former football club field for consideration of further options for its long-term use.
Proposed Cllr Poulsen, seconded Cllr M.Walby unanimously RESOLVED that the Clerk try to contact the Diocese of Lincoln or its agents to ascertain their long-term objectives regarding the vacant grass field.
