Monuments not to be erected until at least 6 months after date of burial to allow ground to settle.
Notes
1. Cost for a stillbirths and under-18’s should be paid for by the Children’s Funeral Fund so should be FREE to the family. (www.gov.uk/child-funeral-costs)
2. The Parish Council may review all applications for reservations, interments and memorials to ensure they are acceptable in accordance with the Cemetery Regulations, Terms and Conditions.
3. Tributes, dead flowers and memorials may be removed if unsafe or causing an obstruction or may adversely affect cemetery and grounds maintenance.
4. Exclusive Rights of Burials/ Reservations are only valid for 50 years from when paid to the parish council. They may be renewed for up to 100 years. On expiry the parish council may use the plot for other burials/ashes.
5. A parishioner will be registered on the electoral register or they have moved into care.
6. If you have a funeral director, they will arrange with the parish council the plot for burial/ashes and will organise the grave-digging and interment and the cemetery fees will be billed to the funeral director.
7. Reservations/ exclusive rights of burial plots may be arranged through a funeral director or directly with the Clerk to the parish council and a Deed of Grant will always be issued.
The Cemetery Regulations, Terms and Conditions and the fees were approved at a meeting of Mareham le Fen Parish Council Cemetery Committee on 24th March 2022.
